Art Director&nbsp;Katherine Lee&nbsp;and I discussed 3 concepts and decided to go with the theme of Evolution.We use words to describe our world, our history and place in it. All of this comes together in this small game and the community around it. To connect the illustrations for each week we decided to use one element and one color from each previous illustration and let it reoccur in a different context, starting with a Big Bang. The last illustration forms a summation of all previous ones, just like we built an archive of our history through stories, pictures, words, books and today through digitalisation and the web. But the elements of the previous illustrations look slightly different here, bearing the question how accurate our ideas of the past are and how much truth will remain in a world that will be led by Artificial Intelligence. For each year a new artist is chosen by the former one to develop the poster for the new edition, which also functions as a starting point for the whole visual identity in that year. I was recommended by the fantastic Max Löffler, while I suggested the great Annu Kilpeläinen for the coming one.
